Ronald Lester French, 68, of Kell Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on December 5, 1951 in Bluefield, he was a son of Edith Dillow French of Bluefield and the late Wylie French, Jr. He was a former employee of Smith Services.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Lea Nowlin; and two brothers, Jimmy and Richard French.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of 44 years, Nina Herald French of the home; daughter, Misty French; grandson, Tyler French; granddaughter, Tia French; grandson, Nick (Hannah) Nowlin and grandson, Noah Nowlin; a special son-in-law, Barry Nowlin; sisters, Mary (Morgan) McGlothlin; Donna (Roscoe) Hale, Linda (Ronnie) Dove, Ginger (Bob) Myers; and several nieces and nephews and special family friend, Chris Umberger.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Dan Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call prior to services on Wednesday, from 2:00-3:00, at the funeral home.
