Ronald Gregory Finley Sr.

Ronald Gregory Finley, 50, of Welch, WV, passed Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Greg was born December 11, 1972, in Welch, WV, a son of the late Ronald and Frances Lester Finley. Greg was a loving husband, father and poppaw, who adored his family. His grandkids were his world.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by three sisters, Robin Finley, Reba Mahaffey, and Barbara Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Vanover Finley; four sons, Ronald “Greg” Finley, Jr. and wife Andrea, of Welch, WV Matthew Finley and girlfriend, Amanda Hale of Bluefield, WV, Tyler Mitchem of Welch, WV, and Randy Miller and wife Dakota of FL; four grandsons, Weston Finley, Eli Finley, Drake Roberts, and Kayden Hale; four granddaughters, Cambree Finley, Addisyn Finley, Kinsley Miller, and Allison Denton; bonus granddaughter, Lilli Mitchem; mother-in-law, Lucille Vanover; two sisters, Rhonda Bowens and husband Stevie, and Romonia “Monky” Mitchem and husband Lloyd; and a host of family and friends he thought the world of.

In honroing Greg’s wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations from the heart be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in memory of Greg, as he loved helping others. Pass it on and help a family in need, silently in his memory.
