Ronald William Bowman

Ronald William Bowman, age 85, of Red Oak Ridge Road, Bluefield, WV died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his home.

Born on July 27, 1934 in Kimball, WV, he was a son of the late William Glen and Ora Violet Frost Bowman. He had lived in Bluefield for the past 29 years and was a retired Federal Protective Officer. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard L. Bowman.

Survivors include: His wife of 59 years: Imogene Meadows Bowman of the home; Son: Ronald Steven Bowman of Blacksburg, VA; Daughters: Diana Faith Lane of Kimball, WV, Deborah Rena Herr and husband Jeff of Crozet, VA, Melissa Ann Feyerabend and husband Chad of Nashville, TN

Four grandchildren: Heather Lane, Emmanuel Lane, Bethaney Graves and husband Brandon, and Seth Bowman; Four great-grandchildren: Connor and Hailey Ritchie and Amber and Aidan Graves.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister David Hercey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where the Mercer County Honor Guard will perform Military Graveside Honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Steven Bowman, Jeffery Herr, Chad Feyerabend, Emmanuel Lane, Seth Bowman, Connor Ritchie and Brandon Graves. Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service.
