Roger Neal Hodges

Roger Neal Hodges, age 75, of Old Bramwell Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 16, 1943 in Windmill Gap, WV, he was a son of the late James Andrew “Andy” and Inez Hedrick Hodges. He had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness church. He was the former owner and operator of the Hilltop Escape Restaurant in Windmill Gap.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

2 sons: Edward (Amy) Hodges of IL
Russell (Mary) Hodges of IL

Step-daughter: Shawna (Scott) Owens of NC

6 grandchildren: Taylor and Sofia Hodges
Eddie Hodges, Jr.
Aaron, Joseph and Marcus Owens

2 sisters: Pamela Smith of Bluefield
Carol (Aaron) Mitchem of Lashmeet

And a host of nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating.

Friends may call on Thursday, prior to services, from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
