Robert Lee Simons

Robert Lee Simons, 72, of Packing Plant Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Born on February 29, 1948 in Bramwell, he was a son of the late Wiley Stewart and Elizabeth Neal Simons. He was a retired cable-splicer for GTE Telephone and was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Simons, brothers Tommy and Jimmy Simons; and sisters, Judy Rose and Betty Miller.

Survivors include his son, David Simons of Bluefield; Vickie Lynn Croy of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Laken Wellman of Princeton, WV, Kayla Atkinson of Athens, WV, and Terry Simons of Bluefield, WV; and great grandchildren, Ryleigh and River Atkinson of Athens, WV; and a sister, Phyllis Hartwell of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor J. B. Hurt officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Mausoleum in Princeton. David Simons, Cody Simons, Joshua Wellman, and Josh Atkinson will be serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior on Tuesday, prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
