Robert "Bobby" Hurst

Robert “Bob” A. Hurst, 61, of Princeton, West Virginia went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Robert was born on January 29, 1958 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late A.M. “Buddy” Hurst and Blanche G. “Tootsie” Hurst. Robert was retired from One Valley Bank in Princeton, West Virginia where he worked as a courier. He was a member of the Pentecost Chapel of Praise in Princeton, West Virginia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Janice E. Hurst of the home; three children Robert A. Hurst II and wife Brittany of Princeton, West Virginia; Hope E. Hurst-Neely and husband Rex of Beckley, West Virginia and Jessica Bender of Princeton, West Virginia. Robert also is survived by eight grandchildren Sydney and Tulip Neely, Jaxon Smith, Ethan Hurst, Brianne and Sabrina Styons, Eli and Chloe Keys with a granddaughter on the way Emma Grace Bender. One sister Phyllis Burchette and husband Gerald of Montcalm, West Virginia, One brother John D. Hurst and wife Kathy of Bluefield, West Virginia. He has several nieces, nephews and cousins.     

The Hurst family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:30am at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Pentecost Chapel of Praise on North Wickham Ave in Princeton, West Virginia with Rev. Larry White and Pastor Ryan Meadows officiating the service.
