Robert (Bob) E. Myers

Robert (Bob) E. Myers, 91, of Bluefield, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, papaw and great- papaw. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He fought the good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith and deeply loved his family.
He was born on February 09, 1927 in Horsepen, VA; the son of the late Charles and Jenny Mathews Myers. He was a retired coal miner from Consolidated Coal Company and sang with the Masters Helping Hands. Bob attended the Family worship center in Bluefield. He was a member of the UMWA and severed his country during WWII.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by brothers: Clarence, Woodrow and William (Bill); sisters: Mildred Helmandollar and Rose Hendrick and one granddaughter, Hope Myers.
Left to cherish his memory: his wife Lois of 68 years, daughter Ruth Myers Horton and husband Jim, son Buford Myers and wife, Glowie. Grandchildren: Jody Horton, Melanie Burnette and husband Shannon and Travis Horton and wife Becca. Great granddaughters: Paige Burnette, Kiley Burnette and Lillith Horton and sister; Vivian Comer.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Deliverance Temple Church 1998 Coal Heritage Road Bluefield, WV at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Kirby and Rev. Curtis Honaker officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Princeton, West Virginia where Pallbearers will be Jody Horton, Travis Horton, Shannon Burnette, David Myers, Bobby Myers, Lemoyne Hendrick, Andrew Hendrick, Nathan Hendrick.
The Myers family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Deliverance Temple Church 1998 Coal Heritage Road Bluefield, WV.
