Robert Eric Baugh

Robert Eric Baugh, 41, of 3363 Maple Acres Road in Green Valley died suddenly Saturday, December 14, 2019.  Eric was born February 2, 1978, in Bluefield, WV and was the son of Robert E. Baugh of Glenwood Park, and Connie Barrett Howell of Green Valley and was a lifelong resident of Mercer County. He was a 1996 graduate of Bluefield High School.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Michayla Baugh and grandparents Richard and Anna Baugh and George and Ethel Barrett. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Robert Eric Baugh, Jr. of the home, step father Danny Howell, and several Baugh and Barrett aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eric's passion in life was an unwavering love for his son, daughter, and automobiles. As a toddler he would disassemble wheeled toys just to reassemble them. This developed into a remarkable mechanical skill that enabled him to work on any type of machinery. He enjoyed going to car shows and repairing and trading vehicles. He loved Fords and Volkswagens and the brighter green, the better. He had a soft spot in his heart for any kind of animal. Eric's kind heart found him working countless hours in his home garage volunteering his time to help others. He was employed as an auto body repair technician at Cole Chevrolet.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Buddy Bailey, Edd Barrett, Jason Barrett, Kevin Baugh, Danny Delida, Rick Jackson, Brad Truman, and Nathan Wimmer serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Saturday, from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
