Richard "Jake" O'Donell

Richard “Jake” O’Donell, age 89, of Princeton, WV, passed away on June 27, 2020 at his home.

 Born on September 24, 1930, he was a son of the late Willis and Elma Barker O’Donell. He had retired from General Telephone Company as a cable splicer. He had lived in Princeton most of his life and attended the Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Annalee Wimmer O’Donell; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; and a son-in-law, Timmy Nelson.

Daughters: Donna Lear and husband James of Myrtle Beach, SC

                    Kathy Beaman and husband David of Princeton, WV

                       Linda Nelson of Princeton, WV

Grandchildren: Richard Bennett of Myrtle Beach, SC,

                                 Kala Beaman of Waynesboro, VA

Sister: Sue Carter of Falls Mills, VA

His Dog, Best Friend, and Companion: Mylie

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Shirley Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.
