Richard Dean Goins

Richard Dean Goins, 60, of Bluefield WV passed away peacefully May 22, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1959 to Elbert “Gub” Goins and Ellen Goins Bailey. He was preceded in death by brothers Troy Lee Goins and Larry Wayne Goins and his wife Diane and step sister Linda Sarver. He is survived by his children, Justin Goins (Dee), Amanda Goins, Troy Goins (Kayleigh) and Ashley Goins. Estranged wife, Brandy Goins. Grandchildren Leicy Goins, Dakota Kinkaid, Latina Brooks and Trey Goins. Brothers Kenny Goins (Patsy), Jeff Goins (Kim), Mike Goins (Shannon) and sister Vickie (Marty). Step brothers Kenny Bailey, Barry Bailey and step sister Janet Gentry. Special friend Raj Chopra. As well as a large group of nieces and nephews. Rick sometimes struggled a little more than others and life threw him lots of curveballs, but in the end he came out on top and conquered the demons. Rick had the most humble heart and genuinely kind spirt and he shared it with anyone he came into contact with. His sense of humor, the giggle in his eyes and the tears that came with his intense laughter is just some of the things we will forever cherish. The most important thing in his life was family and he was loved back beyond measure.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 1:30 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Captain Jerry Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Chris Goins, Shawn Goins, Kenny Goins, Jr, Marty Smith, “Big” Roger Clark and “Little

Roger Clark will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services on Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home.
