Richard Thomas Branham

Richard Thomas Branham, 94, of Double Gates, Bluefield, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Dogwood Crossing.

Born on October 23, 1929 in Bristol, VA, he was a son of the late Ralph and Vesta Mitchell Branham. Richard was a longtime, loyal and devoted member of the Community Baptist Church and had been a resident of Bluefield for 64 years. Richard graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in Korea.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Mae Howell Branham; 2 brothers, Ronald and Dallas Branham and twin great grandchildren, Thomas and Kathryn Adams.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Thomas Branham and wife Teresa of Bluefield, WV, Michael W. Branham and wife Lori A. of Lebanon, VA; three grandchildren Krista Branham, Jeremy Branham and wife Heather, and Heath Branham and wife Elizabeth; and five great-grandchildren, Jasen, Aiden, Peyton, Phoenix and Colton Branham.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Ken Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Council.

Friends may call from 12:00-1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
