Raymond Douglas Oiler

Raymond Douglas Oiler, 73, of Montcalm, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home.

Born on August 11, 1945 in Welch, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Carrie Leigh Perkins Oiler. He had been a resident of Montcalm for 2 years and was a member of the Church of God. He was a retired construction worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tamela Gaye Oiler; and sisters, Mary Lou Meadows, Georgia Mae Byrd and Patricia Oiler; and brothers Walter and Eugene Oiler.

Survivors include:

Daughters: Carrie (Jerry) Perkins of Montcalm
Marlena Neel of Bluefield

7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Brother: James Gerald (Evie) Perkins of Fayetteville, WV

Sisters: Carol Sue Spangler of TX
Loretta (Mike) Lowe of KY

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. James Gerald Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Dirk Helms, Matthew Neel, Jerry Perkins, Sr., Charlie Myers, Mikeal Myers, Johnny Johnson, and Gary Meadows will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00-12:00 PM at the funeral home.
