Rashaun Marcus Cannady

Rashaun Marcus Cannady, 37, of Princeton, passed away on February 8, 2025 at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on April 7, 1987 in Bluefield, he was a son of Margaret Cannady of Bluefield and the late Nathan L. Howard. 

In addition to his father, Nathan, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents,  sister Crystal Woods, nephew, Treyvon Woods.

Survivors in addition to his mother include two brothers, Nicholas L. Cannady of Princeton, and Nathan Woods of Marion, VA; a daughter who is arriving in May, Lillian with his companion Leslie Burnette of Princeton. Nephews, Devante Woods, Kobe Woods; and niece Ashanti Hayes. A host of Aunts and cousins will also miss Rashaun dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Elder Carlisa Moses officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in with family and special friends Shane Neal, Aaron Castle, BJ Testerman serving as pallbearers. 

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
