Ralph Edward Lambert

Ralph Edward Lambert, 70, of Rocky Gap, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Salem, Virginia.

Ralph was born on July 16, 1949 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Alice Larue Lambert. He was a resident of Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, West Virginia during his school years, then moved and remained until his death in Rocky Gap, Virginia. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for West Virginia Armature, Lamberts Upholstery, and BRMC as a security guard. He enjoyed bowling when he was able and watching sports and westerns on TV.

In addition to his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his siblings Wayne and Joyce Lambert, and his father-in-law Roger Hayden Owensby, Sr.

Ralph is survived by his wife Sheila Owensby Lambert of the home , daughter Robin Lambert Hollifield (Travis) of Princeton, North Carolina, his sister Judy Lambert Case  of Radford, Virginia, his second family by marriage: mother Billie Owensby, brother Richard Owensby (Sheila) all of Bluefield, Virginia, brother Roger Owensby, Jr. (Pat) of Bluefield, West Virginia, sister Ruth Owensby Evans (Paul) of Villa Rica, Georgia, sister Lynn Kay Owensby of Monroe, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews and  friends and other family relatives.

The Lambert family will receive friends and family Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 6-8pm at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell . A Memorial Service celebrating Ralph’s life will be conducted by Rev. Donnie Dinger (boyhood friend) at Cravens-Shires Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:30 am with burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
