Our world has certainly lost an angel. Rachel Jean Nester, born December 11, 1940, quietly passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 after a prolonged illness, suddenly becoming severe. Rachel was a loving angel of God. Her pleasure in life was putting a smile on someone’s face, whether it be by a meal, a visit, or helping someone in their time of need. She raised five children, Deborah Heil, Regina Harrison, David Nester, Ricky Nester, and Darrell Nester. She is survived by Deborah Heil, Ricky Nester and Darrell Nester. She is also survived by one sister, Christine Stacy and husband, Howard which were very dear to her heart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, “Buddy” Nester, her parents and her sisters. Anyone that knew Rachel and came in contact with her experienced “love.” That is what she was all about. She was constantly caring for those she loved, baking, gardening, cleaning, puppy sitting, anything she could help with, she was there wanting to make others happy. In her last days, her care taker and son, Ricky Nester, kept her happy and healthy and gave her a will to live which is a bond not experienced by many. She will be sadly and painfully missed by those she has left behind. There is solace in knowing she is with the angels that have been with her for so many years on earth.
