Preston Dalton, age 77, of Whistlepost Circle, Crumpler, WV died on Friday, January 5, 2018 at his home.
Born on May 12, 1940 in Crumpler, he was a son of the late Charlie and Nancy Bailey Dalton. He was retired from United Pocahontas Coal Company with 38 years of service. He was a UMWA member and was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers. 
Survivors include: Wife: Dorothy Hall Dalton of the home; Daughter: Vickie Nunnery and husband Scott of Columbus, OH; Brothers: Frank Dalton and wife Patty of Crumpler and Charlie Ray Dalton of Crumpler; Sisters: Leona Dalton of Crumpler and Clara Bailey of Chesapeake, VA
Two Grandchildren: Kelli Frye and husband Joel of Columbus, OH, Jaclyn Nunnery and Jason Bragg of Columbus, OH and Great-Ggranddaughter: Alyssa Frye of Columbus, OH.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Mark Smearman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Military Graveside Honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. His friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
