Phyllis Gail Gibson

Phyllis Gail Gibson, 79, of Coal Heritage Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Friday, June 01, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.
Phyllis was born on Monday, September 05, 1938 in McComas, West Virginia to the late Avron V. “A.V.” Gibson and Marguerite Wagner Gibson.
Phyllis had been a resident of Bluefield since 1958 and was a beloved member of Pine Grove Church of Christ where she was the pianist. Phyllis also has taught piano lessons for the past 60 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Gary Gibson and her step-mother Jaynette Perkins Gibson.
She leaves behind two siblings Lynn Gibson wife Louise of Florida and Michael Gibson and wife Kimberly of Bluefield, West Virginia. Uncle and Aunt Doug and Ann Bailey of Roanoke, Virginia. Sister-in-law Kathy Gibson of Blacksburg, Virginia. Nieces and Nephews; Mary Byrd and husband Jim of Florida, Pam Byrd and husband David of Florida, Jonathan Gibson and wife Erin of Florida, Carrie Jo Gibson of Georgia, Debbie Porterfield of Blacksburg, Virginia, Jeff Gibson and wife Jeanne of Blacksburg, Virginia, Jordan Gibson and wife Christina of Bluefield, West Virginia and Samantha Gibson of Bluefield, West Virginia. She is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, West Virginia with Pastor Gary Lamie officiating the service interment will follow the service.
The Gibson family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Phyllis honor to the Pine Grove Church of Christ 664 Lorton Lick Road Bluefield, West Virginia 24701.
