Penelope "Penny" Athena Shrewsbury

Penelope Athena “Penny” Shrewsbury, 75, of Montcalm, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at her home.

Born on December 24, 1942 in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Emma Virginia Liptrap Fardoulis. She had been a resident of Montcalm for 45 years and was a member of the Montcalm Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired from the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Marie Shrewsbury; and 1 sister, Lenny Busick.

Survivors include:

3 sons:  Wayne Shrewbury of Montcalm

                James Shrewsbury and Diana of Rock

                Tommy Shrewsbury of Rock

Daughter:            Thelma Shrewsbury and Chris Allaire of Winston-Salem, NC

9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren

Brothers:             John Fardoulis and Judy of Wilmington, DE

                                Chris Fardoulis and Betty of Lumberton, NC

Sisters: Virginia Manning of Lumberton, NC

                Mary Evans and Danny of Hanover County, VA

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Cemetery on Rock River Road. Kevin Hedges, James Hedges, Chris Allaire, Billy Roark, Todd Gullett, and Artie Shrewsbury will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial contributions.
