Peggy Syres Hill, age 83, of Rock, WV, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Hospital.
Born on February 2, 1935, in Rock, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Beulah Vance Syres. She had been a Mercer County Resident her entire life and was retired from the Mercer County Board of Education. She was of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Kevin Hill; five sisters and one brother

Tina Basham and Randall of Rock, WV
Brothers: Johnny Syres and Mary Ellen of Rock, WV
Charles Syres of Christiansburg, VA
Grandchildren: Jessica Webb, Shane Basham and wife, Angel and Jordan Basham
Great-Grandchildren: Brianna Webb, Caleb Webb, Caydence Basham, Carly Basham and Caleb Pennington
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. The family is accepting online condolences at www.cravens-shires.com. Her final resting place will be the Rock Cemetery in Rock, WV.
