Peggy Ann Dale

Peggy Ann Dale, age 69, of The Villas at Lakeview, Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2024 surrounded by family.

Born on November 6, 1954 in Galax, VA, she was the daughter of Martha Sheets and the adoptive daughter of Edgar and Bertha Sheets. Peggy grew up in Keystone, WV where she met her husband of 34 years, Allen “Barney” Dale. She lived on Sandlick Road, Bluefield, WV in the home they built for 40 years. She was a loving wife and a devoted homemaker who took pride in raising their two daughters. She also was an adoring grandmother.  Peggy was a constant for her whole family and was the rock that everyone depended and leaned on. She was a faithful member of Burke Baptist Church in Northfork, WV. Peggy enjoyed working in the church, whether it was cleaning, cooking, or teaching, she loved serving the Lord. In her free time she was talented in cooking, crafting, and gardening. Cooking for her family and friends was her passion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Barney" Dale.

Survivors include her daughters, Angela Dale and husband Steven O'Donnell of Sandlick Road and Ashley Holliday and husband Steven Holliday of Oakland Terrace; and a granddaughter, Charlotte Holliday.

Private services will be conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2024 with Danny Pruitt officiating.
