Paul Edward Pilkins, Sr.,  59, of Bluefield, WV passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at his residence. Paul was born on June 28, 1958 in Bluefield, WV to the late Albert Lee Pilkins and Elize Atwell Pilkins. Paul loved his family and the outdoors and woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Rebecca “B.J.” McGlothan; two brothers Alex Pilkins and Roger Pilkins he was also preceded in death by two sisters Lula Wyatt and Phyllis Shrewsbury. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years Connie Clifton of the home. Three sons Travis Pilkins of the home, Paul Pilkins, Jr. of Florida and Brian Pilkins of Florida. One daughter Nancy Newson of North Carolina. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three brothers Ben Pilkins and wife Sue of Bluefield, West Virginia, Elmore Pilkins and wife Mary of Tazewell, Virginia and Frank Pilkins of Princeton, West Virginia. Six sisters Betty Pilkins of Bluewell, West Virginia, Stella Pilkins of Bluefield, West Virginia, Bessie Hale and husband Clayton of Bluefield, West Virginia. Flora Buffington and husband John of Springfield, Missouri, Darlene Stevenson and husband Danny of Tennessee and Dorothy Farmer and husband Dean of Princeton, West Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Midway Park in Bluefield, WV where friends and family will be speaking. In keeping with Paul’s wishes he will be assisting future Medical professional by donating his body to the Anatomical gift program at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
