Patty Basham Meade

Patty Basham Meade, 87, of Princeton, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Havens in Princeton. Born December 22, 1933 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of the late Doc Roscoe Basham and Allie Mae Spangler Basham.  She was a retired teacher’s aide, member of Thorpe United Methodist Church, and resident of Mercer County for 21 years.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin E. Meade, Jr.; and her sisters, Maxine and Reba.

Those left to cherish Patty’s memory are her sons, David Scott Meade and wife, Angela of Bluefield, VA, Alan Keith Meade and wife, Linda of Princeton, WV, and Douglas E. Meade and fiancé, Kim Shrewsbury of Princeton, WV; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a private funeral service for the family.  Friends and family will meet at 1:00 PM for Interment Monday, January 18, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Tote officiating.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
