Patricia Lee Owensby

Patricia Lee “Trisha” Owensby, 75, went on to her heavenly home on Wed., October 2, 2024.

Born April 5, 1949 she was the daughter of the late James “Jim” Parks and Mary Jane Calfee Parks. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years Roger H. Owensby Jr.; two daughters Patti Owensby of Bluewell and Wendy Owensby Harsanyi of Glenwood and her granddaughter Hayden Harsanyi; and a host of cousins and nephews, extended family and many friends. Also, Yogi their loving dog and her constant companion at home. Pat was a devoted wife, loving person with a very generous and giving spirit to anyone in need. She spent most of her time caring for her family. But especially loved watching her granddaughter play volleyball, her husband bowl and traveling. In her spare time she loved researching family and local history. 

Pat will be profoundly missed and her legacy will continue to live on through her family. She worked a short time for AEP, Bluefield State College and retired as a teacher from Mercer County Schools. 

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Craven-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial Services will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell WV with  friends and family serving as pallbearers. Friends may call prior to service from 1:00-2:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
