Patricia Diane Rose Dillon

Patricia Diane Rose Dillon, 67, of North Tazewell, VA, previously of Pageton, WV, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, August 18, 2023.

Pat was born on December 6, 1955 to the late Drewey and Viola Mae Harman Rose. She was a graduate of Gary High School and married the love of her life, John Dillon, on August 5, 1977. Together they have 2 sons, John and Joshua. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she had a smile that would light up the room. She was previously employed by McDowell County Board of Education. She also worked for several banks in Tazewell. She was a former VP and recording secretary of Wesley Leasing Corp. Her final career was at Neo Law Firm where she retired after 8 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy and Douglas Rose, Lonnie Woody and Kenny Hunley; and her brother in laws, Sam Dillon and Jack Asbury.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband John; son John Welsey Dillon and wife Laura of Pawley’s Island, SC; son, Joshua Payne Dillon and wife Tracie of Tazewell, VA; 3 grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Devante Blayne Dillon, Sean Payne Dillon, and Layla Danielle Dillon all of the home; and 2 recent step grandchildren, Laynie Inabnitt and Karlie Yost of Tazewell, VA. Also surviving are her 3 brothers, Carl Junior Rose, Sylvester Rose and wife Louella, William Rose and wife Dianne, and 2 sisters, Grace Rose Monitor and husband Charles, Dona Rose Shavatt and husband Michael; two brothers in law, Eddie Asbury and Frank Dillon; a sister in law, Mary Asbury; and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens -Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Randy Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Brandon Rose, David Belcher, Austin Belcher, Landon Belcher, Kevin Shavatt, and Frank Dillon will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8PM at the at the funeral home.
