Patricia Bowles

Patricia Bowles lost her battle with cancer on September 22, 2018. She was 71 years old. Patricia was born October 12, 1946, in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was a graduate of North Fork High School, Class of 1964, and Concord College, Class of 1970. She was resident of Elkhorn for most of her life and spent nearly 40 years teaching first grade in the same room at Welch Elementary, where she had displayed a unique ability to reach out to troubled and at risk children. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Oliver and Mable Knouff, and her husband, Raymond "Pete" Bowles. She is survived by her son Colton Bowles, her adored grandson Jonathan Oliver Bowles, her daughter-in-law Renee Flinchum-Bowles, longtime friend Wes Mathena, and numerous other relatives whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Mr. Randy Green officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers are Officer Arron Green, Mr. John Mikels, Mr. Justin Mikels, Mr. Jonathan Mikels, Mr. David McNeil, and Mr. Roy Mathena.

Friends may call two days prior, on Thursday, September 27, 2018, 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
