Onnie Howard Belcher, 81, of Coal Heritage Road, Bramwell, WV, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born on April 12, 1939 in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Riley and Manerva Milam Belcher. He had been a lifelong resident of McDowell County and was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church. He was a retired coal miner with 20 years of service and was a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Sadie Felts, Donna Christian, Ruby Filosofos, Laura Peaks; and brother, Lonnie Belcher.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alice Baldwin Belcher of the home; sons, Joe (Marsha) Belcher of Bluefield, Jason (Amber) Belcher of Bramwell, Michael (Kathy) Belcher of Homer Glen, IL, and Jimmy (Frances) Belcher of Hudson, NC; daughter, Juanita (Charles) Rotenberry of Hudson, NC; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Green of Laurel Fork, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Tom Belcher and Ray Altizer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call prior to services on Monday, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
