Olivia May Stowers, 83, of Bluefield, WV passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home. Born August 4, 1937 in Giles County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Annie Nelson Burton. She was of the Jehovah Witness faith. In addition to her parents, Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Stowers; daughter, Rhonda Hoge; and granddaughter, Brooke Helmandollar.
Those left to cherish Olivia’s memory are her son, James David Stowers of Rocky Gap, VA; daughter, Pamela Helmandollar and husband, Mark of Bluefield, WV; son-in-law, Robert Bruce Hoge of FL; brothers and sisters, Charles Burton, Richard Burton, Phyllis Hughes, Margaret Richardson, Wilma Stafford, and Inez Lester, all of Narrows, VA; four grandchildren, Jessica Stowers, Chris Stowers, Jason Hoge, and Brandon Hoge; and seven great-grandchildren; and many loving neighbors, especially Ricky Bryant.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Howard Owens officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum where Ricky Bryant, Steve Lester, Allen Green, Tom Helmandollar and family will serve as pallbearers.
