Nancy Marie Wirt

Nancy Marie Wirt, 81, of Rainbow Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at home.

Born on March 30, 1941, in Big Vein, VA, she was a daughter of the late Parris G. and Willie May Wagner Smith. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church where she belonged to the Choir, WMU, and the Kitchen Committee. She was retired from Mercer County Schools as a head cook.

Survivors include her husband, Richard N. Wirt of the home; 3 daughters, Beverly Dianne Harvey of Bluefield, VA, Debra Gaye Bowen of Bluefield, VA and Donna Carol Bowling and husband Donald of Rocky Gap, VA; one son, Mont Booth; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Parris G. Smith, Jr. of Jacksonville, SC; and sister, Shirley Stamper, of Brushfork, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Gary Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Tuesday prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
