Nancy Jane Moore

Nancy Jane Webb Moore, of Tampa, FL, and formerly of JenkinJones, WV, was born January 17, 1938, and passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023.

She was born to the late Ernest and Maude Webb. Nancy grew up in JenkinJones where she attended elementary school, Anawalt Junior High, and graduated from Gary High School in 1955.

Nancy spent her adult years in Northern Virginia and Florida but, her heart was always in West Virginia. Nancy worked as a paralegal for many years before retiring and moving to Florida to be close to her granddaughter, Hannah. She was a giving person, having given away scores of her handmade blankets. Even though she did not live in West Virginia, she was a great supporter of her hometown church.

Nancy was preceded in death by siblings, Donald Webb, Peggy Sapin, and William Webb.

Nancy is survived by her son Howard (Howie) Moore, daughter Janet Ann (Ron) Hockman, granddaughter Hannah Hockman: siblings Janice Flint, Robert Webb, and Helen Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, WV with Rev. James Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
