Mildred Carol Pigg

Mildred Carol Pigg, 78, of Browning Lambert Mountain, Rock, WV, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018.

Mildred had been a resident of Mercer County for seventy-eight years and was of the Baptist faith. She worked for the West Virginia Extension Service for twenty years.

Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Crigger.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty-two and a half years, Harold "Sonny" Ellis Pigg; four sons, Ronald Pigg and wife, Margaret of Rock, WV, Harold Pigg and wife, Carolyn of Rock, WV, Nelson Pigg and Tammy of Rock, WV, and Kenny Pigg and Hope of Rock, WV; two daughters, Kathy Short and husband, Nelson of Princeton, WV, and Angela Pigg and husband, Raymond of Rock, WV; one sister, Bonnie Gaye Quackenbush of Iowa; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Jack Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where Tyler Pigg, Aaron Turner, Brad Turner, Evan Gills, Pedo Jones, and Ricky Proffitt will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
