Michael David Woods

Michael David Woods, 64, of Sandlick, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 after a brief illness.  Born September 17, 1959 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Cletus E. Woods and the late Mabel Bailey Woods.  Michael was a devoted member of the Deliverance Temple Church; he had a deep love and devotion to his family and never met a stranger.  He was preceded in death by his father; Cletus Edward Woods, mother; Mabel Bailey Woods; sisters, Dorothy Woods Farmer, Bailey (Violet) Woods Kirby, Adele Woods Wright; brothers, Bobby L. Woods, and Carline Woods.

Those left to cherish Mike’s memory are his wife, Sharon Burgess Woods of the home; son, Christopher David Woods and wife Tawnya of Summerfield, NC; sisters, Goldie D. Bailey of Axton VA, Dora L. Gray of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Mary J. Evans of Bluefield, WV, Paula M. Winterod of Navarre, FL, Lana Y. Woods of Navarre, FL; brothers, William J. Woods of Sandlick, WV, and Roger D. Woods of Sandlick, WV; grandchildren, Amber Woods Palm, of Greensboro, NC, Holly Woods Blanks, husband, David of Hope Mills, NC, Emily Woods of Greensboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Leo Palm and Terrion Blanks; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in  Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. 

Friends may call on Friday, prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
