Michael Anthony Graves, 61, of Maybeury, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Born on September 14, 1957, he was the son of the late George H. Graves, Jr. and Iva Holland Graves. Michael was educated in the McDowell County Public School System and was employed by the Paul Miller Shelter and Norfolk Southern Railroad. He will be remembered as a wonderful brother, uncle, friend and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his four brothers, Scott (Jennifer) of Savannah, GA, James “Buster” (Angel) Graves of Princeton, WV, Dana Graves of Southfield, MI, and Steve (Marybeth) Graves of Lynbrook, NY; three sisters, Lorraine Graves Jackson of Richmond, VA, Sharon “Ann” (John) Miller of Brooklyn, NY, and Claudia “Althea” Graves of Bluefield, WV; uncle, Jess Holland of Pontiac, MI, three aunts, Virginia Holland of New York, NY, Ella Hairston of Maybeury, WV, Christine Stone of Columbus, OH, a host of devoted nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Cherece Callaway; and best friend, Leair Lipscomb
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church, 104 Park Street, Bluefield, WV with Pastor Roger Walton, pastor of the Abundant Life Church in Maybeury, officiating.
Friends may call on 10:30AM to 12:00 (Noon) at the church, prior to services.
