Michael Vincent (Drag) Barber, 63 of Davy, WV 24828 (Twin Branch) went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital-WVU, Morgantown, WV. Born April 24, 1958 in Welch, WV to the late Helen M.(Rhodes) Barber, Odham, and the late Vivian Vincent Barber. He was proceeded in death by maternal grandparents Forrest Rhodes and Mabel G. Rhodes. Paternal grandparents Wayne and Ruby Barber, and special Mother-in-law and friend, Oma Franklin. Two special nieces Tina M. Marushia, and Erica Dawn Burks, and one special nephew SFC Michael Joe (Joey) Marushia. He was a former employee at Deskins Supermarket in Welch, WV, Dewars Welding and Fabrication in Narrows, VA , and Machine Tech in Pineville, WV as a general laborer, fabricator, and welder. He loved fishing, hunting, his kids, family, and friends. He was a big cut up and loved to make others laugh as well. He was/is very loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 35 years, Carrie Franklin and son Michael (Mikey) Franklin of the home. His daughters Melissa (Missy) Keatley of Princeton, WV, Heather Cooper of Jumping Branch, WV, and April Rorrer and husband Brian of Martinsville, VA. Six sisters, Charlotte Marushia of Twin Branch, WV, Jenny (Barber) Tyler of Princeton, WV, Vivian Coffey and husband Harold of Charlottesville, VA, Mary Sue Barber White and fiancée Johnny England, Jr. of Kimball, WV , Wendy Burks and husband Charles of Kimball, WV, And Jennifer Lane whom he proudly called his sister, and husband Brad of Welch, WV; He had six beautiful grandchildren Khayman, Raven, Brady, Cambree, Bryce and Anna. Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several cousins and friends. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service to honor his memory will be announced via Facebook at a later date. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home of Bluefield, WV is serving the family.
