Merita Faye Dawson

Merita Faye Dawson passed away October 14, 2022 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Merita was a former over the road Truck Driver but she was always happiest at her home in Rolfe WV with her Family. Merita was a person of faith she attended Old Fashioned Full Gospel Church in Northfork WV . She loved to sing in church along with her daughter Mya.She shared her love of food and enjoyed Being outdoors and walking the mountains with her Husband Bruce.She was very proud of her son and his creativity.Her life was full of Joy and Inspiration. She loved being surrounded by Family .

Merita was Preceded in Death by, her Father, Ferd Dempsey Watkins,Her mother, Mary Katherine Watkins, her sister, Patricia Watkins and her son Eric Christopher Nester.

Survived by:Her husband Bruce Dawson, Daughters Mya Dawson and Amber Dawson- Muncy, Sons Scott Nester and Danny Dawson. Brothers Freddy Watkins and Don Watkins Grandchildren Gavin Nester,Jalen Nester,Darien Nester-Zopp,Alexis Baldridge, Makayla Nester ,Laken Muncy, Cameron Muncy, Chase Muncy, Hayden Uhl,and Hannah Uhl. Great-Grand children Adalyne Zopp, Aerith Zopp, and Koralyne Woody. Survived by Many other Family Members whom she cared for Deeply.

The family will hold a service at Cravens Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield WV on October 20th, 2022 at 6:00 PM with Harold and Mark Simpson Officiating the service. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 4:00-6:00PM.
