Melvin Lee Madison was born June 23, 1963 to the late Shirley and Charles Madison Sr. He resided in Bluefield Wv. Melvin finished his race June 4, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital and took his place in heaven.
Melvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He truly left his mark on everyone he came in contact with. Melvin was a pastor at Gospel Tabernacle of Keystone WV, an assistant pastor at Calvary United Holy Church of Bluefield, WV and an Elder at St. Matthew’s United Holy Church of Bluefield WV. He served the Lord with his whole heart and loved sharing his testimony with everyone. He was an inactive member of the First Church of the Nazarene where he attended services for 8 years. Melvin has worked security for several companies, he worked at The Bluefield daily telegraph for 10 years, Walmart in Bluefield Va for 4 years and McDonald’s in Bluefield Va for a year. But the greatest job was serving God and spreading his word.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Shirley Jenkins Madison, his father Charles Madison Sr. Maternal grandparents Betsie Lou Jenkins and James Holbrook Jenkins and His paternal grandparents Robert and Roberta Madison.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Kimberly Madison. His bonus mother Shirley Buchanan Madison of Winterhaven Florida. His children Ashley(Stephon) Brooks, Genny Stone(James Royster), and Anthony Madison all of Bluefield Wv. His grandchildren Makenzie Stone, Zamariah Madison, Kaylyn Stone, Zalakhi Madison, Rae’Niyah Brooks and Zavadeah Madison all of Bluefield Wv. Two bonus grandchildren Sapphire Reynolds and Tessa Bourne. His siblings Charles(Natalie)Madison jr of Florida, Tina(William) Hankins and Barbara(Tyrone) Carper of Bluefield Va. Special friends include the mother of his children Leslee Burton, Paul Burton, Butch McConnell, Reverend McKinley Price and Doug Rozzel and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 11, 2024 at Calvary United Holy Church in Bluefield Wv at 12pm following a viewing at 11am. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA.
Melvin was a very special person and will be truly missed by all that knew him.
