Melissa “Missy” Dawn Swim, 51, of Brushfork, West Virginia passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 after an extended illness at her home. Missy was born on September 10, 1966 in Marlinton, West Virginia to the late Edward Lowell Walton and Vernia Me Byrd Walton. She had been a resident of Bluefield, West Virginia since 2001 and was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton, West Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband of 26 years Bobby L. Swim of the home; one son Brandon Graham and wife Danielle of Bluefield, West Virginia; one brother Russell Walton and wife Princess of Princeton, West Virginia; One sister Elizabeth Vredingburg of Montcalm, West Virginia; Three step Brothers Melvin Christian and wife Sue of Clarksburg, West Virginia; Timmy Christian and wife Connie of Clarksburg, West Virginia and Allen Christian and wife Tammy of Clarksburg, West Virginia; one step Sister Nicole Christian of Roanoke, Virginia. She is also survived by her four beloved grandbabies Makenzie, Elijah, Eriona and Gabriella; and special friends and caregivers, Kayla and Maddie. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton, West Virginia with Pastor Thurman Belcher officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where Russell Walton, Robert Nicewander, Mike Wimmer, Cody Woods, Travis Woods, Ryan Lambert and David Byrd will be serving as pallbearers.
