Melanie Faith Myers Burnette, left this world too soon, and we know she is now leading the singing in that Heavenly Choir. Melanie used her beautiful voice for the Lord. Everyone who knew her was touched not only by her voice but by her love and compassion.
First and foremost, she was a wife and mother who loved her husband and 2 beautiful daughters beyond measure. She always knew exactly what to say and do for her family. Her life revolved around Shannon, Kiley, Paige and Brennan. When she walked into a room it lit up with her joyous personality.
She married the love of her life on February 3, 2000. Melanie and Shannon were best friends who spent all their time together. They became Youth Pastors at Deliverance Temple around 2003 and have led many young people to Christ. Melanie was a mother figure to all those who needed her. She had a big personality with a big heart and would minister to all those around her.
Melanie is the daughter of Buford and Glowie Myers of Bluefield, Va. Her sister Hope passed away in 1978 and Melanie was born January 19, 1981. She was their promise and shining star who always said she was their world. She was loved more than life and was always there when needed. Their love will forever shine for both Hope and Melanie.
When Shannon and Melanie got married, she gained another family. Leonard and Dianne Burnette. She was more than a daughter n law she became their bonus daughter. She always joked with Leonard that she was his favorite. Leonard and Dianne both loved her as their own.
Melanie is preceded in death by her sister Rebecca Hope, grandparents Ernest and Cynthia Folden and Bob Myers.
Those left to cherish her memory forever is her husband Shannon, Daughters Kiley of the home and Paige and husband Brennan Cook (she came to love Brennan as her own), parents Buford and Glowie Myers, Grandmother Lois Myers, in-laws Leornard and Dianne Burnette. Melanie will also be missed by Deliverance Temple Church Youth Group and congregation.
