Mary Wright

Mary H. Poe Wright, 94, of Bluewell, left this earthly life to begin her life in Heaven on November 5, 2020.

She was born in Bluewell, WV to parents, J.B. And Ida Hambrick Poe on October 19, 1926. She was married to Bob Wright for 62 years before he preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children, Carolyn Collins of Tucson, AZ, Becky Wright (Dan) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Kent Wright (Lisa) of Maryville, TN, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She is the youngest of 16 children, with one surviving sister, Rosie Gilmore of Houston, TX.

As a Christian, she devoted her life to serving God and was a lifelong member of Pine Grove Church of Christ in Bluewell.  She was a homemaker for all her life, devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was very close to her family and enjoyed her time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She lived her entire life in Bluewell with the exception of the past 4 years living at Clover Hill Senior Living in Maryville, TN. The family would like to thank all of the many caregivers that had cared for Mary during the past 8 years. Thanks to the staff of Clover Hill Senior Living and Amedysis Hospice of Knoxville, TN.

A private family graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Entombement will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell.

In leiu of flowers, the family would suggest a memorial contribution to Pine Grove Church of Christ in Bluewell.
