Mary Lou Sutphin

Mary Lou Sutphin, 89, of Marellen Avenue, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.

Born on February 13, 1930 in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Romney and Belva Gregory Byrd. She had been a resident of Bluefield since 1956 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Sutphin, Sr.; and 3 brothers, Claude, Bruce and Fred Byrd.

Survivors include:

Son: J. Paul Sutphin, Jr. of Bluefield

Sister: Virginia McGrady of Princeton, WV

Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating.

Friends may call on Saturday from 1:30-2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
