Mary Frances Bond, 97, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Roanoke, VA area.
Born on October 29, 1922 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Giles and Sally Caldwell Perdue. She was the wife of the late James W. Bond. She was a 1941 graduate of Beaver High School and was a retired telephone operator for General Telephone Company. She was the former owner of the Bond Trailer Park on Airport Road. She was a member of the Brushfork Methodist Church but had attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Bond; son, Jerry W. (Sandra) Bond; grandson, Jason Bond and two siblings, Jack Perdue and Shirley George.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Melissa White officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM.
