Marvin Eugene Edwards

Marvin Eugene Edwards, 85, of Derby Lane, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on February 11, 1932 in Gap Mills, VA, he was a son of the late Fulton and Pearl Mae Hunnel Edwards. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 28 years and was a retired veteran of the US Army with 20 years’ service serving in Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Bluefield Masonic Lodge and the Order of Juists. He was a retired owner of his own trucking company.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers. Survivors include: Two Sons:           Jesse Edwards of Bluefield    Thomas Edwards of Bluefield Two Daughters: Reba Edwards of Bluefield    Rosemary Haynes of Bluefield Grandson:           Bobby Edwards of Bluefield Great grandson:          Trevor Edwards of Tazewell, VA Brother:              Kenny Edwards of Grand Rapids, MI Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Scott Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
