Marcia "Nicki" Spinella

Marcia “Nicki” Spinella, age 80, of Flat Top, WV died on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on March 27, 1939 in Keystone, WV, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence Mann Mandakunis. She had lived in Flat Top since 2002 and was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Beckley. She had retired from the McDowell County Board of Education with 30 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis E. Spinella; and a son, Gregory Lee Spinella. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Brother: George Mandakunis and wife Lillie of Flat Top, WV

Grandchildren: Joseph Spinella and wife Tonya of Bluefield, WV

                            Luke, Jude, and Hugo

Daughter-in-Law: Gwen Belcher Spinella of Bluefield, WV

Nephews that she treated as sons: John Mandakunis, Bruce Mandakunis and wife Marilyn, and Jason Mandakunis and wife Kimberly

Grand-Nephew: Evan Mandakunis

Grand-Niece: Ashley Mandakunis

Niece: Sue Lavender and husband Randy

Nephew: Roger Godsey-Bell and wife Connie

Special Friends: Mike and Jane Hurley

She is also survived by several special cousins and friends

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Olen Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mandakunis Family Cemetery in Flat Top, WV. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
