Lotus Dawn Sowers

Lotus Dawn Sowers, 89 of St. Augustine, FL formerly of Freeman, WV was called home by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank R. Sowers, Sr.Lotus was born on July 24, 1927 in Yards, VA to the late Fred and Ruby Boley. She was a member ofBible Baptist Church in St. Augustine, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Junior Boley and two sisters Margie Duncan and Shirley Surratt. Lotus is survived by her daughter Kathy Perry (Clayton) of St. Augustine FL; Frank R. Sowers, Jr. (Anita) of Harrisburg, PA and Jim Sowers (Rita) of Bluewell, WV; grandchildren Michelle Duncan, Steven Duncan, Brittini Sowers, Brandon Sowers, Sydney Sowers, Joseph Perry, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastors Bob Parker and Daniel King officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park whereFrank Sowers, Jr., Clayton Perry, Steven Duncan, Joseph Sowers, Ronnie Herndon and Lonnie Pennington will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
