Lottie V. Evans

Lottie Snead Evans, 96, of Bluefield, WV, and formerly of Vivian, WV, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 3, 2019.

Born March 20, 1923 in Saltville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nannie R. and Watson Snead and wife of the late Richard “Boobie” Evans, to whom she was married for 57 years.

Lottie was affiliated with the Protestant Faith. Her greatest love was her family and friends. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her loved ones. She was generous, fun loving and kind to everyone. Her loving words and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Other than parents, she was preceded in death by, son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Helen Farris, 2 sisters Oca Turner and Ollie Green; 4 brothers John, Raymond, Bryant, and Eddie Ray Snead; and her longtime friend, Kat Legato. 

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Lane and husband Randy of Green Valley, WV; one son/grandson, James Evans and his wife Cathy of Bluefield, WV; 2 granddaughters Lana Cochran and husband Brian of Green Valley, WV, and Cindy Brown and husband Stacey of Princeton, WV; grandson Todd Farris and his wife Lisa of Bland, VA; 3 great-grandchildren Lauren Brewster and her husband John of Princeton, WV, Nathan Evans and fiancé Jordan Adkins, and Bethany Evans, both of Bluefield, WV; and special best-friend Shirley Levitt of Bluefield, WV.

To respect her wishes she will be cremated, and the memorial service will be held on Sunday May 5, 2019 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm until the hour of the service at 5:00pm.
