Loretta J. Hedrick

Loretta J. Hedrick, 84, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Stonerise in Beckley.

Born on August 18, 1937 in Gilliam, she was a daughter of the late James and Thelma Anderson Lewey. She had been a resident of Duhring for 52 years and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee “Sonny” Hedrick; a son, Ronald W. Hedrick; a grandson, Jaxon Nester; a sister, Shirley Vannoy; and a son in law, Bo Scott.

Survivors include a daughter, Feleesha (Patrick) Moran, of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren, Dakota “Kody” (Amanda) Nester of Duhring, WV, Brittany Nester Scott of Bluefield, VA and Jacob (Leandra) Nester of Rock, WV; great grandchildren, Dylan and Xander Nester and Nadia and Jason Scott and a brother, Melvin Lewey of Princeton.

Christian Burial services will be conducted Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield with Father Romeo Bacalso officiating Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call one hour prior at the church, from 10:00-11:00
