Linda Dean Shilling

Linda Dean Shilling, 71, of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on January 4, 1951 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Wall Mullins. She had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a member of the Duhring Church of Christ. She had formerly worked for JC Penney’s but had retired from Bluefield Regional Medical Center for 33 years in the billing department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Mullins, and a sister, Beryl Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Cletis Shilling of the home; a daughter, Leslie (David) Horne of Tazewell, VA, a grandson, Joshua Horne; a sister, Rita Henderson of McDowell County; 2 sisters in law, Charlotte Dillon of Pocahontas, VA and Susie Dequino of Bluefield, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 31, of 2022 at 11:00 AM, at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Glen Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
