Linda Allen Pennington

Linda Allen Pennington, 80, of Mt. View Road, Vinton, VA and formerly of Bramwell, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her home.

Born on January 7, 1940 in Bramwell, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Byrd Allen. She had been a resident of the Roanoke area for 11 years and was retired from the Mercer County Board of Education.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Buddy” Pennington.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Pennington of Vinton, VA and Mark (Christy) Pennington of Troutville, VA; 3 grandchildren, Kayla Brock, Matt and Brett Pennington; and 2 great grandchildren, Grayson and Paisley Lamie.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Deliverance Temple Church in Brushfork with Pastor David Kirby officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Dean Goins, Dale Goins, Brandon Goins, Matt Pennington, Brett Pennington, and Drew Brock serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Saturday prior to services, from 10:00-11:00, at the church.
