Linda Vivian Hatfield, 79, of Bluefield, WV passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Princeton Health Care Center.
Born on November 18, 1943, in Littlesburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late John Harvey and Dovie Ingram Wimmer. She was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, a graduate of Princeton Senior High School, she loved all animals and was a homemaker.
She was a very active member of the Smith’s Chapel Church of the Brethren, Dan Hale Reservoir Rd., Bluefield, WV, she was the song leader, a Sunday School teacher, and worked in the Church Ministry.
She was preceded in death by brother, Carl Wimmer, sisters, Marion Sheets and Winnie Lynch, and Virginia Taylor.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Leslie Hatfield of the home; brother, Wayne Wimmer and wife Zetta of Princeton, WV; sister, Ruby Hypes of Bluefield, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Donnie Dinger officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Mike Dinger, Chris Dinger, Donnie Dinger, Paul Canterbury, Mike Canterbury, and Joe Dinger will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
