Lillian Grace Weinberg, 95, of Albemarle St., Bluefield, WV 24701, died October 3, 2018 at Bluefield Regional medical Center after a short illness.
Born September 7, 1923 at Fairs Hill, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Verna Lewis Hanna. Mrs. Weinberg was employed for 44 years as an executive secretary of Pocahontas Land Corporation, a subsidiary of Norfolk Southern Railway. She also worked with her husband managing Weinberg’s Clothing Store in Bluefield, WV. Mrs. Weinberg join the Bland Street United Methodist Church in 1944 and thus was a faithful member for 74 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Weinberg, and brothers, Roy and Leo Hanna.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brother, Herbert Hanna; brother-in-law, Lou Weinberg and wife Betty; nephews, Lonnie Faulkner and Ricky Hanna; niece, Karen Hinkle (Heb); great-niece, Michelle Faulkner Coker (Adam); great-nephew, Michael Faulkner (Tammy); long-time friend, Brenda Kirby; and caregivers, Melissa Tillitt, Cassie Richardson, Robin Goins Love and Sue Gillespie.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Bret Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the McMillion Cemetery in Greenbrier County with Graveside Rites at 300 P.M where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
It was Mrs. Weinberg’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bland Street United Methodist Church, 2620 Bland Road, Bluefield, WV 24701.
