Lillian “Louise” Hopkins Warden, age 94, of Christiansburg, VA, formerly of Bluewell, WV died on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital.
Born on November 21, 1923, in Marytown, WV, she was a daughter of the late Vent Elbert and Jessie Grant Hopkins. She was a graduate of Welch High School. She had lived in Bluewell since 1969 and had lived the last 6 years in Christiansburg. She had worked at Warden’s Market as a bookkeeper and office manager for 30 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to sew and cook. She was a member of the Graham Christian Church. She was also a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church Circle and the Bluewell Home Demonstration Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.A. “Buddy” Warden; sisters, Ruth Hopkins, Evelyn Hopkins and Blanche Akers; and brothers, Elmer and Kermit Hopkins.

Grandsons: William Baldwin, Thomas Warden, IV, Michael Haddox, Louie Haddox, and Jonah Haddox
Granddaughters: Angelique Baldwin, Toni Baldwin, and Emilie Warden

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Gary Lyons officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call from 11:00 AM til 1:00 PM prior to the service. The family asks that memorial contribution be made to the Graham Christian Church or the Bluewell United Methodist Church in her memory.
